LGBTQ+ Students

The University Counseling Center (UCC) seeks to affirm and advocate for LGBTQ+ students by providing a safe and welcoming space in which members of these communities can be continually supported throughout their time at the University of Notre Dame and beyond. The UCC welcomes all LGBTQ+ students for in-person or online support in addition to providing access to a range of LGBTQ+ resources both locally and globally to better serve the needs of our students. Our goal is to work together to ensure that everyLGBTQ+ student feels accepted, valued, and respected.

Campus Resources

Gender Relations Center –LGBTQ & Allies Program
The GRC sponsors a variety of programs and initiatives around the areas of sexual identity and gender identity; such initiatives include speakers, retreats, support groups, and other programs, all designed for the support, holistic development, and formation of LGBTQ and ally members of the Notre Dame community.

Founded in 2013, PrismND is Notre Dame’s first and only official LGBTQ student organization. The organization provides programming dedicated to fostering development of the campus LGBTQ community, and raising awareness of the community’s needs – all from a Catholic lens. We hold social events every few weeks, and plan several major campus events annually – such as Coming Out Day in October and Stand Against Hate Week in November.

GlassND stands for the “Graduate LGBTQ and Ally Student Society at Notre Dame” and is a subcommittee of the Graduate Student Union that addresses the needs of the graduate LGBTQ community at Notre Dame.
