EMDR Resourcing Group

- (part of a series)

Location: University Counseling Center

The group is designed to build skills to process trauma, anxiety, disconnection, and depression, and strengthen a "resourced state of being" using strategies from EMDR. Everyone's brain and body has a hidden gold mine of positive experiences that can provided strength in the present when we face a difficult circumstance or relationship, distressing thoughts and feelings, or recurring traumatic memory. By the end of this group, clients will have created a personalized book of six resources for use in focused mindfulness and, if they should choose, preparation for trauma processing in individual therapy.

Group Leader: Kate Jongsma, MS. Ed.
