I was born and raised in Southwest Michigan and attended Western Michigan University (Go Broncos!) for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana and Michigan. I have experience working in Community Mental Health, Medical Social Work, and the emerging field of Library Social Work.

I consider myself to be a nontraditional therapist. I am nothing like the therapists often portrayed in movies and television shows. My goal is to create a safe space where students can feel comfortable being their authentic selves. My space is a judgment free zone - you can laugh, cry, and even curse if you want. I am trained in and have knowledge about many therapeutic techniques and approaches but I don’t use a lot of big words. It is important to me that you can apply what we do in our time together to your life in a way that is real, genuine, and effective.

My professional interests include working with people experiencing anxiety and multicultural concerns. As a proud first-generation student, I enjoy working with other first- generation students as well as students from underrepresented backgrounds. I have a strong passion for working with African American students and other students of color. I enjoy helping facilitate group therapy and support spaces. My other professional interests include diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging work as well as social work education and training.

I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy traveling, attending concerts, learning new line dances, music, and shopping. I love all things sparkly and blingy.

Supervision Style

As a supervisor, I lead with transparency, approachability, and openness. I strive to create an environment where others can learn and grow both personally and professionally.
